I'm trying to set up an API component to access our Matillion API resource. I'm populating the connection properties for username and password but it doesn't seem to accept a variable value (referencing our saved passwords) for the password value. It only works with a hardcoded password. Is this the correct behavior or is there a different way to get this to work with the saved passwords? Thanks!

Are you able to share a screen shot of the configuration?

hi @jmcroy, as far as I know, it’s a limitation in Matillion ETL tool that you cannot access the Passwords stored in Matillion out of the box Password Manager.
In our case, we went for a workaround and that is to store the credentials in AWS Secrets Manager and retrieve them in the Matillion job for every run of the job.

Kumar
