# How we could pass current date to Post request body in Matillion

We are using API Query for a POST request and all we need to know is how in Matillion we could set current date in Post Body so that every dat when it runs it automatically gets current day data.

Couldn't you setup a job variable and pass that into your api query? You might need to create the api query component with a dummy value and then change that into an input variable using advanced mode...
