# Matillion API returning null

Metaillion API returning null.

I am trying to fetch metadata from my environment,

[http://hostname/rest/v1/group/name/CA/project/name/PS/environment/name/VM/lineage?jobType=transformation&startTimestamp=1699032771](http://hostname/rest/v1/group/name/CA/project/name/PS/environment/name/VM/lineage?jobType=transformation&startTimestamp=1699032771)

&nbsp;

its giving me null what can be the reason for that?

Sorry to hear you have had this issue, have you had the chance to go over the [Matillion API Documentation](https://docs.matillion.com/metl/docs/2763671/)? following this should enable you to avoid this, if you are still having an issue, let me know and we can take a closer look.
