William is a principal consultant at phData with thirty years of experience building data products. Spanning eras from pre-Windows spreadsheets to modern cloud data warehouses, the common thread has always been to bridge the gap between business and technical audiences.

To this day, the principles of process analysis learned while earning an Industrial Engineering degree from Clemson University serves as the core of his business analytics & analytics engineering practice. As an employee, he has provided analysis and built data products in manufacturing, healthcare, and finance industries. As a solution consultant for the past decade, the list is even more varied.

Driven by the belief that “Data is the sanitizing sunlight.”, he finds greatest satisfaction in helping others to achieve their goals along their data journey. In client engagements and through leading the Charlotte Tableau User Group, sparking others’ interest in data and solving their process challenges keeps William going.

When he’s not building data pipelines, you can find William on his motorcycle capturing GPS data tracks across the Carolinas.
