We recently setup an OAuth connection to GCP and when we tried to use the BigQuery component we're getting this error. Has anyone encountered this before? Is this an issue with our GP setup or is it on the Matillion side?

Did you hit this problem after an update to your Matillion ETL version? In any case, can you confirm which version you are using?
I believe the error could sometimes occur in versions prior to 1.55, so you may be able to fix it by upgrading to v1.55 and then recreating your OAuth entry and re-trying.
For versions before 1.55 I think you can get around it by creating a new OAuth entry and in the Advanced Connection Options adding a parameter named Other, with value EncryptOAuthSettings=false like this

We upgraded to 1.55 a month ago and have active OAuth connections to Salesforce which do not have this issue. This the first time we're connecting to GCP, never tried in the older version.
But I can try the parameter nonetheless and report back here.
