Hi all and welcome to the General Thread for the Matillion Documentation! We invite you to submit suggestions for additions, clarifications or any other suggestions for the Matillion Documentation. Your help ensures our documentation remains accurate and helpful for everyone.

Our team meets every second Friday to review all submissions and we’ll provide individual feedback the following week.

To submit your suggestion, simply copy the section below and fill it in with the appropriate details.

hey there, Streaming agent installation on Azure page here [azure-streaming-agent-install], under Launch the ARM template in Azure section, environment variable names are not listed.

CDC has this documented “sufficiently”. Streaming doesn’t. see Environment variables - Matillion Docs

The parameters listed there above (ACCOUNT_ID, AGENT_ID, ..) are actually called as ID_AGENT, ID_ACCOUNT, saying this because Streaming agent logs displays the bunch of Envvars, and their values as “undefined”:

00:00:00.908 [main] INFO com.matillion.niagara.agent.config.EnvironmentVariableLogger -- ID_AGENT=*undefined*
00:00:00.909 [main] INFO com.matillion.niagara.agent.config.EnvironmentVariableLogger -- ID_ORGANIZATION=*undefined*

there at that position there are also other Envvars not documented. What does each variable do? Help..

Hi Team,

Thank you for consistently keeping the community informed and up to date whenever a new feature is released. The documentation is always detailed and helpful.

As a next step, I would like to suggest including short video demonstrations for each new feature and also for the existing components — both simple and complex ones. Video demos generally create a stronger impact and make it easier for users, especially those new to Matillion, to understand and apply concepts confidently.

Having video tutorials embedded within the documentation would allow users to quickly refer back to them whenever they encounter challenges or need a refresher. This addition could significantly enhance both the learning experience and community engagement.

Thanks again for the rich documentation and the continuous efforts to support the Matillion community.
