1. Is Python code base supported in Matillion for any future extensions to be done to the connector code? Lets say, I want to add a new datasource support and want to achieve this programmatically. Is this possible or any limitations?

 

2. Is the point #1 achievable using code only and NO UI?

 

3. Is there any Authentication Mechanism in Matillion and if yes then how we can use that?

 

4. What are different sync modes supported? We are interested more on the incremental load (once the full refresh/load is done initially). Is it column based?

 

5. Is Metadata there, if for example we are using Salesforce data source which have multiple tables and user wants to select few columns or rows of his/her choice then will Metadata will come with it or not?

 

6. Please could you elaborate more on the cost consideration as per the volume of data - as well as performance. Any challenges here?

Those are some really broad questions. I would recommend going one by one and searching here in the forums for answers. It's difficult to answer since your questions are very broad.

If you are a Matillion user, another way is to set up sample projects and test out your scenarios.

That way you can answer your questions for yourself. 👍
