I just wanted to ensure you have all seen and taken part in a short survey my colleague @MannyAtti-ProductOwner has launched in relation to the Matillion Ideas Portal, this closes next Thursday (20th May) So please take part and share your thoughts on this.

I just want to share a quick thought.
In my opinion we all in IT have the same problem with extremely large backlogs and lists that keep increasing.
So one solution to this regarding the ideas portal is the voting system to get a priority into this tasks.
In my opinion the current ideas portal is like a large backlog that will keep growing.
So it is not that easy to actually track the ideas and from a customer point of view it looks like there is nothing happening.
So one solution is to discard ideas earlier to avoid a growing backlog with ideas that will be never implemented anyway.
Another solution might be to raise awareness that actually something is happening und further push customer interaction.
The current major release cycle is 6 weeks right?
Maybe it does make sense to make a second poll with ideas that are on the list as "will be implemented sometime in the future"
So give us as customers the opportunity to vote for one idea on the short list and this idea will be implemented with the next major release. But this only works if Matillion is committing to delivery this idea.
