I am trying to load data from MYSQL into Snowflake using Matillion.
Select SQL query is working fine as I can view sample data, but parameter validation is generating an error. Can you please confirm what value I need to pass into the Stage field?
I am getting an error: Parameter Validation Failure: Stage – Input required.
I have attached connection and error details.
From the HELP tab in Matillion:
"Select a managed stage. The special value, [Custom], will create a stage "on the fly" for use solely within this component. Selecting [Custom] provides all the properties typically seen in the Manage Stages dialog for your input.
If you select a managed stage that has already been configured in Manage Stages, the additional properties are not provided, as they have already been configured.
Manage Stages can be found by clicking the Environments panel in the lower-left, then right-clicking an environment. To learn more, read Manage Stages."
Personally, I always leave this as [custom] and the next property, "Stage Platform" I always leave as [Snowflake Managed]
Hi @umairbhatti.ca and thanks for posting. Could I ask you a couple of questions please?
Could you check whether your 'Test' button on edit environment is coming back green? If that fixes it, could we please get a copy of your logs?
Are you choosing an External or Standard Stage? If you're using External, you will need to create an External Stage first. The link that @WilliamAubrey posted about Manage Stages will be able to help you further with that.
Let us know how you get on,
Many thanks,
Claire
