What is the savest and fastest way to upgrade from matillion 1.68.9 to a newer versino (as this version needs top be updated because of some licence issue)

Hi there

we need to upgrade update to a newer version as tehre are som critical issue announced by Matillion

 

there are 2 ways to upgrrade

the in place vs the migration (first is not always recommended and possible)

 

as we are running on 1.68.9 I guess we need to follow the second method

(as I read to upgrade from 1.68-9 is only why migration possible)

 

can somebody confirm this?

If you would prefer not to upgrade there is a mechanism available to patch your existing instance without needing to upgrade (in place or otherwise) - simply log in via SSH and run the script. Details are here:https://docs.matillion.com/metl/docs/licence-management-remediation-instructions/#patch-via-ssh

 

Otherwise, you may be able to do an in-place upgrade from 1.68.9 to 1.68.20 using the in-place upgrade mechanism.

 

If this however doesn't show any available upgrades it might be you would need to migrate to upgrade - in this case we recommend using the patch or raising a support case with our helpful support team at https://support.matillion.com
