How to add Slack component in the Matillion ETL?

Hi,

The version we have is:

Matillion ETL

Version: 1.68.13 (build 2a22b08-213264)

Image Version: 1.68.13

I would like to add slack component to my Matillion studio. I downloaded from https://exchange.matillion.com/login?startURL=/s/exchange-job/a074G00001EkCMdQAN/send-message-to-slack

But, how do I import it into Matillion? I tried import option but got "Error parsing file" message.

Regards,

Sivaji.

Hello @sginjupalli

Welcome to the Matillion Community, it looks like you may have headed to the wrong option there, not to worry, I do it all the time!

If you follow the instructions here you can import and use the shared job you downloaded from the Matillion Exchange.

I hope that helps, let me know how you get on 😃

Kind regards, Joe

Hey Joe,

Thanks for helping me with that.

But, the slack component keeps failing with the below errors:

Parameter Validation Failure:

Name - This parameter is not recognized.

Script - This parameter is not recognized.

Interpreter - This parameter is not recognized.

Timeout - This parameter is not recognized.

How do I fix this?

Regards,

Sivaji.

Hey Joe,

Yes, the issue is still not resolved.

Here is the version we have:

Matillion ETL

Version: 1.68.13 (build 2a22b08-213264)

Image Version: 1.68.13.

Hello @sginjupalli

Are you still encountering this issue? if so can you confirm what version of Matillion ETL you are using?

Thanks Joe

Hi @sginjupalli

We have worked out what is causing this, the component needs updating, a member of our team is doing this for us and I will add it to the exchange and inform you once it is live, this should then work as required.

I will be in contact once that has been done.

Kind regards, Joe

Hi @sginjupalli,

The job has been updated. If you continue to experience any issues, please let us know!

Best regards,

Maria

Hi Maria,

What is it that I should do now to fix it on my end?

Regards,

Sivaji.

Hello @sginjupalli

If you remove the old component and then add the new version, that should all work as intended.

Apologies for the delay in response.

Kind regards, Joe

Hi Maria,

I get below error when I tried to import the updated shared job.
