It seems after posting an idea the original poster is not able to edit it anymore (or I didn’t find the option to do so). You can only add comments. It may be handy to also have the possibility to edit the original idea in case you forgot something etc.

The reason users are unable to edit an idea after they have posted it, is to prevent ideas potentially being altered after users have up-voted the entries. We want to prevent a users vote being placed against an idea that has changed from the original description they voted for
If you would like me to edit your idea for you, I can do that, just let me know what changes you would like to make. Alternatively, feel free to add a comment to your idea.

ok, I see your point which is understandable. Thank you for the explanation. Yes, as a workaround I already added a comment to my idea. I just want to prevent that it gets overlooked there.
