I am personally very excited to try out:

  • Matillion & Open ID Auth - "Manage Connections" Add Additional Column for 2nd User Attribute to be Displayed (i.e. DisplayName)
  • Lock master/production branch in Git Integration
  • Allow git checkout while jobs are running

These are things we have been looking for Matillion to support. Thank you for the hard work on these improvements!

Hi Chika,

thanks for this update. I'm very excited to see that my idea about git checkout while jobs are running has been implemented. This is something we have been waiting for for a long time.

However, I'm surprised that these great news haven't made it to the official release notes, yet. The notes seem to be incomplete in general, because I have been told that a bugfix for one of our open support cases was also released with the new version. This bugfix isn't mentioned in the release notes as well.

I'd expect the release notes to contain all changes and bug fixes for a new release... Could you please try to improve this process internally?

Hi @Michael

I'd firstly like to offer my sincerest apologies here for this inconvenience. I fully understand your concerns, and have raised this to all teams involved.

We want to continue to encourage the Community to ideate and submit any feedback that will enhance their Matillion experience. Please feel free to contact me (and any of the managers) anytime if you have questions.

Kind regards,

Chika

Hello @Michael

Thank you for your feedback as always, this is very valuable to us. I can appreciate the release notes should list all the changes and myself and Chika are working with your documentation team to ensure these are added and flagged as Ideas raised via the portal.

Some of these implemented ideas made it at the last minute, which may be why this has not happened fully but of course, We want to get them added there ASAP.

Congratulations on having one of your ideas Implemented Michael, it is brilliant to see them being added to the product :)

Kind regards, Joe
