Matillion Academy - New Course and Certification now live!

Hi everyone,

I've got some news from the Matillion Academy for you! We have a new course and a new certification now available.  Check out the information and links below.

Course

Sync back - Reverse ETL in Matillion ETL - Learn how to copy data from your analytics platform to your operational tools using Matillion ETL. Your analytic teams can really focus on the insights they need.

Certification

Matillion Practitioner Certification - Demonstrate your advanced Matillion ETL expertise in developing real-life data productivity solutions.

Are you going to take the course, work towards the certification or both?

Hi Claire - is there a plan to support other databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL for sync back ?

@ClaireSeniorCommunityManager - I am not referring to the content of the course, but the available database Unload components. We currently only have unload for MS SQL Server and Oracle. At least that is what is available in my environment.

Are there plans to support unload / sync back for PostgreSQL / MySQL and other popular databases.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Found one idea https://metlcommunity.matillion.com/s/idea/0874G000000kBR7QAM/detail that seems to be relevant.

Have upvoted the same.

Hi @ramalingam and thanks for the question!

Can I quickly check that you are asking this about the content covered in the courses? If so, we're not planning on adding them to the content at this time. The databases work in similar ways to the ones explained on the courses, so you should be able to get an idea from the exercises. I hope that answered your question?

Thanks again!

Claire

Hi @ramalingam, I'm so sorry for the delayed response, unfortunately I've been out ill.

I would suggest that you head over to our Ideas Portal and see if anyone else has requested the same, that way you can vote for it and leave a comment if you'd like. If there isn't already an idea there, then please add your own. The team will then be able to take a further look and your fellow community members can vote on your idea.

Thanks so much!

Claire
