New user can't create jobs

Hi,

I created a new user, in the Add User dialog I checked all the boxes in the Permission Groups section. I left unchecked roles (Server Admin, API and Global Project Admin).

I restarted the server.

I opened a project, Manage Project and gave the new user Admin and Access roles in this project.

I log off, and log back in with this new user, I open the project, but I can't create a job.

I have created users before, it's the first time I have this issue. The user can modify a job but only modifying existing components, not add more. The user can copy/paste the job but can't add components to the copy either.

I tried deleting the user and recreating it...

Usually, creating a user is pretty straight forward...

We're on Azure, Matillion for Snowflake, version 1.59.12.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi @JFS

If all of the permission groups are checked - then you will be restricting what the user can do to the permission group with the least number of permissions. I would recommend picking just one of the permission groups. One of the permission groups that comes out of the box is "Reader" - if that is one of the groups chosen - then you would not be able to create a job. Hope this helps. Please come back and update us.

Cheers

Chika
