Matillion Data Loader V1 : After providing the JDBC Connect string for Oracle as - the data loader is unable to connect just keeps on spinning
jdbc:oracle:thin:@(description= (retry_count=20)(retry_delay=3)(address=(protocol=tcps)(port=1522)(host={HOST_NAME}))(connect_data=(service_name={SERVICE_NAME}))(security=(ssl_server_cert_dn="CN={}, OU=Oracle BMCS FRANKFURT, O=Oracle Corporation, L=Redwood City, ST=California, C=US")))
Matillion Data Loader V2: There is no option to put Service Name or SID. It just asks for Host Name, Port and Database Name and then unable to connect.
Has anyone experienced this issue ?
I have similar problem. Connecting to Oracle Autonomous Database is problematic. Matillion source presents very simplistic interface for Oracle connection. There is no option to use Wallet. More likley it is not supported.
Hi everyone and thank you all so much for posting.
I'm sorry to say that we are currently do not support this due to technical reasoning. There is an idea in the Ideas Portal related to this and we would still love to get your feedback, so please feel free to upvote and post on the Idea any of your thoughts.
Thanks again
Claire
@ankit.h.joshi I am also facing the same issue. I am not using wallet based authentication, still I am getting "Connection failed. You entered the wrong combination of details." error. Were you able to connect? How do we specify oracle SID/service name?
@ashay.dhavale : Not the answer you want to hear but I was unable to connect MDL with oracle. Tried many alternatives and combinations but there is very limited we can do unless product fix/enhancement is done.
As Claire mentioned in above comments - please upvote the idea which resolves this issue
