We have a lot of data on DB2 on zOS (IBM Mainframe) that we currently are having to load into DBx thru some manual processes.
Is there an Unload connector for IBM DB2 that I can then pipeline into DBx and if there is someway to create the DBx tables based on the DB2 table's schema that would be a bonux
(Total Matillion N00b here, so bear with me)
Thanks
Hello @mahadea
Welcome to the Matillion Community! I hope you are well. You can achieve what you want to using the Database Query component, please find documentation here.
As you can see IBM DB2 is an option:
I hope that helps, please do keep us posted on how you get on.
Kind regards, Joe
Thanks Joe. That's the right component for me. One follow-up though, there are two different flavours of IBM DB2, one called DB2 LUW which is DB2 as implemented on distributed systems like Linux, Unix and so on and DB2 ZOS which is DB2 as implemented on IBM Mainframes that run the z Operating systems. You also support DB2 for i, which is yet another flavour for IBM's midrange series called System i. We have some issues using the IBM DB2 drivers with zOS. I have requested on that page you sent me the link to for a zOS specific set of drivers.
Thanks for the feedback @mahadea
I will share this with the team for you, have you been able to get past this now?
Kind regards, Joe
