Hi All,
we want to update the following Version:
Matillion ETL
Version: 1.51.8 (build 967)
AMI Version: 1.51.8
to the latest Matillion Version. I believe that this is Version 1.66. Everywhere it says that we should use Matillion Hub to do so. We are currently not using Matillion Hub. There is also documentation how to update the system not using the hub for existing customers. For old customers is it not possible to use the Hub to update the system? To me it seems that it is a lot easier to use the Hub, so we would like to use it. How to we get our current system into the hub?
Thanks for your help.
Michael
Hi @michael.meissner
You cannot upgrade a non-hub instance to a hub instance. You would need to launch a new VM running a hub based image, and then migrate from the old instance. I'd also advise that you discuss this with your AE who can provide some cost estimates and advice on how to proceed.
Cheers!

Hi Chika,
thanks for your reply. If I understand correclty the best way to upgrade to a Version 1.66 from Version 1.51 ist to launch a new instance anyway. If we do that as a Matillion HUB instance then we would need a new contract and cannot use the old one correct? btw what is an AE?
Thanks
Michael
Hi @michael.meissner
I am inclined to say yes. If you have a current contract that may not be transferable to HUB directly, hence the request to engage with your Account Executive (AE) and understand the costs before ypu do that. If you are unsure of your AE, you can raise a support ticket and they can share it with your AE internally.
I hope this helps, Michael.
Cheers!
Chika
