What do these images mean / represent on the Matillion instance?

I've noticed when logging into the Matillion instance, the top bar showa letters encased in a box. When hovering over the letter, it tells me what user name it refers to. What I do not understand is why this remains constant well over 24 hours.

What is this telling me exactly?

Why do they remain beyond a day of work?

Hi @TheArchitect, those are indicators of people logged into the Matillion Project you are in. They could be in the same version or a different version but those users have the project open. I have also seen where logins get doubled up by using multiple browser windows. So, if you see duplicates of the same user it's likely due to that. You should also be able to hover over each of those with your mouse and it should give you a little bit of information about the user and what version they are in in relation to you.

I hope this helps!

@Bryan Thank you, this is very helpful. The next question is, why do they still show if the user doesn't show up in manage connections?

Thank you @Bryan - Will take your advice on the support ticket.

That's a great question because they shouldn't. I used to see that behavior in earlier versions of Matillion. Usually rebooting the Matillion instance will fix that issue. I'm not real sure why they would hang up like that in more current versions of Matillion. That might be a support question if you continually see the behavior. It could be a specific workflow you are using that is causing those to show in the UI. Not that it's wrong, it could be as simple as it's just a little different than what Matillion's management logic in the UI was designed for.

I do know opening Matillion in multiple browser windows causes weird behavior in various places. I believe it has to do with browser cache and how Matillion leverages the cache to understand user state. Just guessing there but it's definitely some to keep an eye on.

I hope this gives you a little more info.
