We have a VM in Azure that starts up late at night, and the last few months we have experienced that sometimes (maybe 6-7 times a month) this box appears when the machine starts. Then no jobs will run and Matillion is just frozen.
The solution for us has been to restart the server and then everything is fine.
Have anyone experienced this and know how to solve it ? We have upgraded to the latest version, but that did not do the trick. We have also raised a ticket to Matillion, but if anyone have some good input to it that would be very welcome
I could be wrong but this sounds like a better question for Matillion support. I think support would be the only ones to know what is happening behind the scenes during a boot up which may lead to the License screen being displayed. If you figure this one out though please post back. This seems like it would be helpful for someone at some point.
Hi @Bryan . Thanks for feedback. Yes, we raised a support ticket a few weeks back, so waiting for an answer from Matillion. Just tried in here as well just in case someone experienced this issue and had a solution. But ill post the solution here once we find it : ) As of now, we have a test-job in Matillion that sends a notification to Teams if everything is running fine after a restart, but its not exactly a sustainable solution.
Makes sense. We do something similar with Teams messages for job completion statuses but not for the same reason. I agree though that it's a band-aid for now but should be addressed in a more permanent fashion. Thanks for posting back. I am eager to hear what the solution is for you. I have had to probe the support person working my cases for status updates every other day or every day depending on the severity. I have found that even though there is long term silence on a case they are working towards a resolution. It's always good to get a status check from them though. It helps with the accountability on support cases.
