Getting the below error message whilst connecting to MySQL Db as a source:
Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.
There are no further details apart from the above error message so unsure of where to look out for logs in Matillion Data Loader.
The connection is working fine through SQL Workbench with the same details.

I'm so sorry for the late response. If you're still having an issue with this, please note that MySQL requires a connection option to be specified for Matillion Data Loader. Please specify the parameter useSSL=false as a connection option under advanced settings. Let me know how you get on.

I'm having the exact same issue, and setting that parameter did not resolve the issue (still seeing the same error as OP).
